You can love a character and still admit when they’re wrong. I love Liliana Vess but can acknowledge her flaws (she has none) & can hold her accountable for her wrongdoings (she’s never done anything wrong in her life) & call her out for her actions (which are always correct)
Played a little local modern event today and went undefeated with this. Not a huge thing but the list felt very good so I figured I would share it. A lot of ideas came from @clairerianhard.bsky.social 5-0 list a few days back. I really liked this deck and it feels like a RC frontrunner

PD- over the last few years we have figured hexproof on snow balling cards that come down early isn’t super fun and is very frustrating. Anyways here is this fuckers
With the return of standard I started playing arena again in my free time, and really liking standard. Climbed a lot with a few decks like mono red and golgari, but did most of diamond with beans. Deck is much better then it looks, but I don’t think it’s the best deck or anything
Fun MH3 fact, this was one of the pitch’s for guide of souls! This card has its own problems but I think it’s interesting to see the evolution of the card! A big one was just not wanting to use your energy on anything else. Your card often just didn’t do anything.
If I had a Time Machine I would travel back to November 9th 2001 to warn them about 9/11, because I am just a chill European guy.
What the worst card you have ever played that you won a tournament with? This is mine. It was a standard PPTQ and I had 4 in my main deck XD (Zoomers PPTQ's are just RCQ's)

13. I love how this nissa smooths your draw early but still a real card in the late game. Going to take a little break and will finish this thread up later.
12. I love this card! A card that control and agro both want? Sign me up! Tho this does seem familiar to another card on the list.
11. This card is a masterpiece. It keeps players playing. Gives them stuff to do in the long game. While also having interesting deck building decisions if you want. If you play an anthem you get to draw extra cards! Very cool imo! This is an example of fable done right.
10. Speaking of current design philosophy of never running out of cards and always having relevance we have one of the biggest culprits of that. However my controversial take is this card is actually really close to being fine in standard. It’s just a bit over the line. IMO.
9. An all timer in magic. Model while powerful. I think about this card a lot as one of the thing that lead to current design philosophy.
