nothing about this pic except that i find enigma hot in there. but also the whole scene gave me so much pain... people did reach out to him, wanting to befriend him.... but adler kept the door closed... until they stopped coming (because the storm took them away)

ykno, i don't think we talk enough about the human perspective of dealing with arcanists and enigma did that so well throughout the story. and while we know about arcanists struggles, we don't see much of them thinking something may be wrong with them mentally when really it's just arcanum 😭

This one also made me laugh, wym adler would pull pranks on his coworkers 😭😭😭 i can only see adler and ulrich do that in a bit of anger rather than for the funsies (only X does it for the funsies), but it's true that they would help regardless-

Ended up yapping more than i thought so it'll be screenshots instead of posts-

• Favorite anime: Mob Psycho 100
It was hard to pick my favorite anime because i've watched so many and loved so many... I ended up choosing the one that had the best mix of story, characters, emotions, comedy and action for me !

• Best story: Fullmetal Alchemist - Brotherhood
I'm a basic gal, i still think FMAb was incredible... Now i did watch it relatively recently so maybe that's why it stuck to me, but i couldn't think of another story that had such deep lore and care for its characters... There are many stories that fit those criterias that i've loved too, but FMAb is the most complete for me at the moment !

• Favorite art style: Tsurune
Anything by KyoAni is beautiful, but i especially loved watching Tsurune, the character design and animation style was made for me specifically i think-

• Biggest personal impact: Fruits Basket
Now this is more about the manga than the anime, but the anime is a very good adaptation of the manga so i'll put it here...! I read the manga as a teenager and it left such a deep deep impression on me, i learned about kindness and forgiveness in the harshest way, and i learned about acceptance too, it was important to me to learn about acceptance of oneself, and imo the anime did cover all those beautiful messages very well :')

• Best fight scenes: My Hero Academia
More than how sick the animation looks during the fight scenes, i also liked the Emotional Impact of those fight scenes... There is so much depth during the fight scenes themselves, my heart was always so heavy with everything that was happening, from the training fights to the last boss fights, i feel like everything was very well done :'0

• Overhated: Free!
I don't think it was really hated but it was made fun of a lot back then, and i get it !!! i started it to make fun of it too !!! but actually !!!! it's so good !!!!! i love it so much unironically !!!!! yes it's all teenage drama, yes it's fanservice, but also *points at favorite art style* it's made by KyoAni so it was absolutely gorgeous too- but because s1 was made fun of, i feel like some people didn't go on to s2 & s3 where they're infinitely better written y_y

• Underrated: Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid
LISTEN !!! the story is soooo so good, the characters are so fun, i am begging people to look past the 3D animation (that isn't even bad to begin with!!) and the ecchi allegations (they're just flirting!! and i also think it's Interesting to sexily flirt with someone who could kill you by any direct contact-) to appreciate how actually wholesome this anime is, and it's even completed and all !!

• Overrated: Jujutsu Kaisen
Now you should know that i haven't watched the latest season, but i think it proves more that it just... doesn't click with me anymore slkdgkdlsg latest seasons were just fight animation galore with no actual story content and i fear the newest season follows on that... Tbh at this point, i don't understand what message they're trying to pass anymore haha

• Has aged well: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
As someone who actually started to watch it in like, 2021, i was afraid that the jokes wouldn't land anymore, but actually, even now it's still really funny, i enjoyed watching it a lot !!

• Criminally overlooked: Ousama Ranking
Man, do you even know how much Ousama Ranking means to me... I think for those who DID watch, it's very well-liked, a masterpiece for most of us, i only lament that some people just didn't give it a try for whatever reason...

• Favorite protagonist: Ginko from Mushishi
I nearly put Mushishi as fave anime but realised it's as great Because Ginko is here... I love Ginko so much and honestly wish to see more protagonists like him, he's someone who is so gentle but also so grounded, his advices hit specifically because he's been through a lot, and i think watching it at the time i watched it (Covid era) healed me actually

• Favorite antagonist: Tsurumi from Golden Kamuy
Entire time i was watching GK, i was grateful that i never met someone like Tsurumi because i would, actually, fall for every lies he ever told with no question, like all of his fanboys, he's just THAT charismatic-

• Best soundtrack: Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
Arguably, every Gundam i've watched had incredible soundtrack, but IBO in particular really striked me... I think the mix of medieval sounds to modern beats was so sick and genius...! Also i loved every OP/ED as well...!

• Best romance: Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku
I've watched many romance animes and loved many too, so i'm picking the one that was specifically curated to My tastes, because i love sweet but affirming girls like Kaoruko and cool but unconfident guys like Rintaro, and seeing how they both develop and how they communicate... This, on top of very good side characters that i adore!!

• I want to talk about this one: Kotarou wa Hitorigurashi
I wasn't sure what to pick so when i went to my Anilist, only One anime had a note from me and it was this one. The note says "made me cry af" and god, it did... I'm not sure what i would like to talk about from this anime, i think i would just like it to be more acknowledged in general, although it evidently hurts to watch sometimes, if you're sensitive to children and family abuse. Though despite the themes, i assure you it's mostly light-hearted, and almost fun too! it's just that the fun you're having is quickly caught by the damning realization of the Context they're in-
