We are always delighted when we see students attempting to solve the daily puzzle as soon as they arrive at school, and students crowded around the maths office at break eagerly discussing their ideas. We love Maths Week! 4/4
The treasure hunt is always a highlight (thanks to @missradders.bsky.social for sharing this years ago!). A great way for students to get to know teachers around the school. Always gets high engagement from all year groups. They love it!
There are always four elements to our Maths Week: a treasure hunt, a daily puzzle, a Sparx contest and an assembly about a mathematician (this year: Turing). I also wear a different maths dress every day! 2/n

Great Harris Inset today. I attended sessions on Casio CG100, A level marking and university entrance tests. All very helpful. Then I went out for drinks with my lovely team. I’m very pleased half term is here! I plan to catch up on a lot of sleep. 💤
Today my colleague accidentally pressed the little calculator button on her keyboard (which we’ve never even noticed before). The calculator menu that popped up is extensive! Graphing, date calculation (!), time, angles, volume…
I ❤️ Science Studio! Today I received a Casio 85CW+ and a 991CW+, both engraved with my name. What a great surprise parcel to receive at school. My team absolutely love Casio’s improvements to the format button. Big fans of the CW+ which will go on sale later this month.

Yesterday I spoke about patterns in Don Steward's answers at #mathsconf39. Coincidentally I was revising with my Y7 daughter this morning (she has a test tomorrow) & gave her two of Don's algebra pyramids. She was delighted to get the same answer twice so I checked the rest... :)
