Just donated my first proper road bike to the local bike shop to reuse. This thing took me on many adventures, including once around the loch at Etape Loch Ness, and on the fastest 100 miles I've ever ridden at RideLondon. Got a slicker replacement these days, but still sad to bid it adieu.
When I saw this cheeky headline on the Guardian I was briefly confused and made a note to check out that unexpected psych-rock direction on Robyn's new album

You're damn right I immediately paid £25 for a commemorative LOTR-branded 50p coin.
We don't talk enough about the ancient reptiles who "chose a life at sea" IMO.
Google Photos just made me a jaunty little "9 Years Ago" memory of the time I got hit by a car while riding my bike, showing me all the angles of my damaged carbon handlebars and the bloody cuts on my arms.
Does anyone have theories about the UX discussions that led to what I can only call "OH SHIT buttons" on major products? Exhibit A: the "Call" button on WhatsApp groups which immediately begins a video call with everyone. Exhibit B: The "Huddle" button in Slack which does the same thing.
Incredibly excited to learn that the Birmingham Tolkien Festival is happening again this year after a long break: sareholefestival.org – yes, I am a massive nerd.
It was my son's Harry Potter themed birthday at the weekend and it turned out the eBay seller lied about this Dumbledore costume being "adult male" size.
Yes, see you in Kellogg's Town, where the giant red cockerel crows, towering over the Cyclopean skyscrapers in the glare of the noonday sun. See you in Kellogg's Town.
Watched an old live clip of Simon & Garfunkel last night and the image suddenly became three dimensional
Saw this lager at the pub the other night and was briefly horrified at what I thought was a new novelty beer flavour
