He’s fine. The Latvian SS was very separate from the German SS and not involved in war crimes. There WERE Latvians who committed war crimes, but this wasn’t where they went to do it. These Latvians were in large part conscripted and the ones who volunteered mostly just wanted the USSR out of Latvia.

Got it with my $3.25 an hour gardening for the neighbors.
