Elon Musk does sometimes seem like a Bond villain, but he doesn’t, as far as anyone knows, possess supernatural powers. If he hacked the 2024 election, that’s big news. Please explain how he did it. What computers did he compromise? What did he do, other than financial support for Trump, exactly?
Pretty much my whole day here has been one reply like this after another. Honestly, I think this slightly overstates my role in destroying our democracy. But I’ll try to be more careful with it whatever’s left of it from now on.
Huge if true (I’m surprised they didn’t come right out and say “Soros money”). Nonetheless, whether I’m “bought and paid for” or not, you still need actual evidence to overturn an election.

Today’s solar eclipse at totality, over DFW. Cloudy, but the job still got done.
Just a test to see if Bluesky does a better job not messing with image aspect ratios than the last time I tried this.
The statute appears to prohibit professional astronomy, including the prediction of eclipses. @kenwhite.bsky.social

If an editor/headline writer/content manager (or whatever they're called these days) sees a headline that says "Martians Attack New Jersey Town", maybe find out if you should add "... in fictional radio program" BEFORE hitting "publish".

The phone-based COVID exposure notification system wasn’t supremely effective, but this mad rush to rip out every last bit of pandemic mitigation infrastructure is just stupid. Still masking.
Speaking of writer’s strikes, I’m glad my parents didn’t throw out our copy of Not The New York Times, produced during the 1978 newspaper strike. Still holds up, kind of a proto-Onion.
