Our dramatic short very gay film, Hotel Rent, just hit 25k views on YouTube and (I'm sure some clicked away) but I'm pretty happy about it
I couldn't stop thinking this so I made it, using my iconic line from Hotel Rent 🎬
It's also a gorgeously lit and shot gay film with an awesome bunch of actors, directed by Christian Le Feuvre, and it's my debut role in a short film as Matthew Drapper, actor!!! 📢 I'll link you 🔗 "Pretty Woman was only a film" 🎬
Fair warning, Hotel Rent is dark and touches on a bunch of serious themes - - male loneliness, sex work, unrequited love and violence in relationships.
To give you the plot would spoil the plot, but John Sweet takes us on (indeed) a queer dystopian romance (?) with much gentle but well observed critique of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (with a smidgen of anti AI). @johnmonologist.bsky.social
