I posted about it originally on 10 February at 1.30pm. This PR to randomise the results was opened on 10 February at 7.30pm 🤔 github.com/hmrc/income-...
Kudos to HMRC for fixing this - they now randomise the results to ensure they can't be gamed with nonsense punctuation. And, entirely coincidentally, Coconut Free have decided their name actually doesn't start with a random exclamation mark.
Good example of poor colour blindness accessibility on UKHSA's heat health alerts map. 'No alert' and 'Red alert' are practically indistinguishable if you have protanopia ukhsa-dashboard.data.gov.uk/weather-heal...
Imagine being forced to publish this on your own website and then _cutting_ customer service staff
Thames Water texted that they're introducing a hosepipe ban for "all customers", except it doesn't apply to wastewater-only customers, and I'm a wastewater-only customer. They're just shit all round
It's hardly the biggest issue in all of this but this machinery of government kerfuffle is going to expose the short-sightedness of tying the GOV.UK brand to a DSIT brand that's about to go in the bin - the horrible cyan was taken from DSIT's logo
This is fantastic for accessibility - Wimbledon's Inclusive Feed adds spatial audio cues and a high-contrast overlay showing the ball's path, bounces, serve speed and calls, for blind and partially sighted fans On iPlayer here: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...
Why are all the prime minister's statements... on gov.uk... formatted like this... with every phrase... punctuated with an ellipsis? www.gov.uk/government/s...
The government's digital ID consultation explicitly said they don't intend to include sex or gender markers on the digital ID card. Keep an eye on whether that remains true www.gov.uk/government/c...
The Taylor Swift Toy Story logo is almost really cool but the typography is all over the place so I fixed it. Call me, Pixar?
The 2025 one is in RGB and the 2026 one is CMYK so it could be a colour mode conversion issue The 2026 one is correct according to the Elizabeth Line Design Idiom, but the TFL Colour Standard has a third purple which doesn't match either of them!
BBC are experimenting with this nonsense again. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athlet... is gated behind a login, pointlessly There are two variants - the one on the left isn't closable. You're not allowed to read the story at all. The one on the right dismisses if you click the background or "Maybe later"
@eumetsat.int Good morning! EUMETVIEW and the geoserver have been returning errors since last night, is this a known issue?
Incredible weasel wording from eBay here. Instead of automatically transferring funds to your bank account every quarter (which was already ridiculous) they now just stay in eBay indefinitely and you have to manually withdraw them. This is "more flexibility and control".
