Today, the internet served up this weird Detroit Tigers shirt. I don't care for this anthropomorphic baseball. Something is unsettling about its whole deal. (Some specific concerns in the alt text.)
The sky over southeast Michigan is... this can't be right... Blue??? Without as much of the ominous smoke haze? I didn't know we could do that lately.

Plants and birds. I have a real good time in my backyard doing garden stuff, and watching birds at the feeder. It's a rewarding little check-in, to see plants growing. Or a nice break, to see birds goofin' around.
very normal sun colors, to go along with the disgusting odor/taste of the air. just wonderful.

My whole neighborhood took on a distressing shade of orange right around sunset. Kinda hard to photograph with my phone. So, this is a jpg straight out of camera from my mirrorless camera. Auto-white-balance, no edits, no specific film sim. I think this gives a decent feel for the situation.

red-headed woodpecker update: I am not sure the bird totally understands how feeders work? First picture: seemed pretty competent, yeah? Well... now look at this feathered goof.

Ahhhh!!! I got a picture of the red-headed woodpecker hanging around my neighborhood! I'm so excited, this bird stopped by my feeder a bunch today. (Yes, I see my bird feeder is a bit crooked. It's holding up fine, I'll mess with it tonight after the birds are done eating.)
Um... thanks for the update, bank. I wasn't in the market, should I change that?
