“The heat is miserable and the air is unbreathable, but we must bathe in the sun.” note: I’m only letting them out for short periods, but after they conduct their business, they keep trying to lock into sunbathing mode.
Woof, that's $3 per card if you want to purchase 2026 Topps Chrome hobby products. All for the opportunity to pull your own on-card auto of a Brewers reliever. Bananas.
The Astros also dropped his arm angle and release point, seems like Burrows is still getting comfortable with it. But not sure he has anything for left-handed batters right now. His changeup from the old slot was the answer but now it's kinda blah. Don't know if he's able to craft a cutter?
Also didn't help Burrows' outing that he threw two of those bland fastballs right down the dick to Josh Naylor. Guess which two pitches resulted in the Mississauga Masher's taters yesterday?
Slightly anecdotal from watching, but backed up by the graphs (below - Savant page of his fastball yesterday, no whiffs) and numbers (2.3% SwStr% in 2026) ... Burrows has a bland as hell fastball. All the batters are attacking fastball out of the hand, and whiffing on changeups.
The Oriole Bird had no updates on Jackson Holliday’s hamate recovery.

The Great Britain hat from the '23 WBC is back. We can only pray that GB is returning the uniforms too. They were so bad that they've turned into all-time classics in my view.
Between the Cardinals (fave team) and Mets (fave broadcast booth), I sure did watch a lot of miserable baseball this season. Can't decide whether the lack of Big Inning (which I watched every night) stats is good or bad and not sure if I would be proud or embarrassed of the volume of it I took in.
Fantastic quote from a recent MLB.com story on Shotaro Morii. Thesis: Japan = good quality of life, America = LOUD
