Decorated the cover of my sketchbook from a fave photo I took a few years ago. I'm not a photographer and usually use other people's photos for reference so it's nice that this one is mine all the way down.
I was hoping repetition of the same face would help me improve. Instead I just kinda started feeling creepy staring at a stranger's face that much 👀 Enjoyed the vintage ties. Might do some more of those. #sketchbook
I almost never draw full figures, so I'm not sure what possessed me to attempt these three very challenging poses. 🤷♀️ Coulda done worse though, I think. #sketchbook
Didn't do either of them justice, but I very much enjoyed sketching this while listening to the delightful #Humans episode with Helen Hunt. I was also a weirdo teen who loved Mad About You, although I had more of a crush on Paul Reiser. #sketchbook
Idk if this magnolia bloom is really much larger than usual or just seems huge because it's not above my head. Definitely bigger than a soup plate... I think.

@moviessilently.bsky.social posted about this book recently and I immediately had to go see if my library had it. I tried the Hercules beetle from it tonight and I think it turned out pretty well. It was definitely different learning from a book instead of YouTube like I'm used to.
