The importance of the Pontiac Fiero is it spawned the Spice 86C etc seq Group C2 cars, bringing Le Mans racing to the (well heeled) masses. Old fashioned and understandable engineering done well.

So proud of my son, Alex, who has turned the desperation of crashing his race car into this eye catching MG Midget-Nissan 1300. He was invited to demonstrate at Gurston hill climb and onlookers were amazed at the speed from 1300cc - they expected 1600 or 1800 Zetec. #weirdcarbs
That was a terrible spin session, just couldn't get any power out of my legs. Hopefully it'll get better.....or am I just too old for this?
Great to be at a kart track that actually serves good food - and #gluten #free #glutenfree too. Motor racing seems to be the last bastion of the greasy spoon cafe it's nice to work somewhere with a restaurant! Big up to Dunkeswell Raceway in south Devon - guess where I'm taking my team to race 😂

Concours des Légendes, Wilton House, Salisbury. Just an amuse bouche of the delights here. I cannot stress how excited I am as am MG Man to see the pre-production 6R4. It's got the same spoiler as my MG1300 Metro 😂
If like me you're Gluten Intolerant, never stay at a hotel where the chef has walked out. Burger King GF option is vile - burger without bun and a handful of chips. Still, I got to wear a cardboard crown!

When your awning desperately needs a pee. 40mph winds hit Clay Pigeon Kart Raceway in the south of the UK on Saturday, it was mighty unpleasant but we survived - and we were racing on slicks by the end of the day!
Storm over Dorset last night. Awning was actually intact, just 2m from where I left it...
Hard day at the track but awning is up and ready to go. Had to weight it down with water butts rather than stake it to the floor this time. Hope it's still there when I get to work tomorrow 😱 #karting #maxattaq #superoneseries #claypigeonraceway
