Firstly, statues of great men are passe. Secondly, Wm Eicholtz is a gay Melbourne sculptor who does beautiful male sculptures and has experience in public sculpture. However, his sculpture would not match the other sculptures by Peter Corlett, even if the bronze was cast by Meridian.
