Maker of strange pointy things. Behold me at
The reason I forgot to post a short yesterday is I was dealing with a mouse emergency in my workshop. More details in comments cause apparently you can't mix puctures and videos?
Anyone seen the show Widow's Bay?. I liked it enough that I mocked up this fictional boardgame from it for my own amusement. Gonna leave it on shelf of local game store and walk away.
If any of you are in Bloomington, IL and would like to see the latest sword it is hanging up in Red Raccoon games!
The sword is finished, as of last night. It is sort of historically accurate. Will explain in video which will release Tuesday.
All the parts of the... object... are connected. Need clean up tomorrow. I am very sweaty. Very little June left. I need hydrate. 10 types of steel. 3 types of welding.
The Vinegar bath revealed the hardened ends of the brick hammer I want to turn into the hammer/pick/cross guard of the big gay multiweapon.
Did anyone ask me to make one of those weird medieval dueling combo multitool weapons for Pride month? No. Is it a good idea? Also no.
It's time to put this on pause to make a thingy for Pride Month!
Home made grinder rig to carve a fuller to a specific depth the next step.
In honor of May the 4th big shout out to my friend who hadn't seen ANY Lord Of The Rings related anything who then went to see Lord Of The Rings THE MUSICAL so I sent them this after and said "now that you know the plot of lotr I can share memes about it with you" because I treat my friends poorly.
The vet we got to said there was no sign of infection, that she was probably choking on something, so the O2 probably helped her get through it. A Oxyacetylene regulator is NOT designed for the ultra low levels you need with a Cpap so it was tricky getting it to maintain such a low pressure.
Yesterday one of my girlfriends mice was acting weird, mouth open, gadping for breath. She's an elderly mouse so could be almost anything but they do get respiratory infections pretty easily. While she called a vet I Macguyvered up a mouse cpap machine. She seemed to do better in the O2 flooded box.
I wish I had the foresight to make this thing put of one piece of 1/4" and then grind down the spikes. Welding on the 1/8" thick spikes is fiddly.
Ironically it's partner, also purchased in 2009, has been missing zero times.
You know, if I had a nickel for every time I had to leave this clamp soaking in vinegar for days (followed by oil) because I found it buried in the dirt over a year after I thought it had disappeared forever, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.
Picked up a chest for my work clothes at the restore for like $40, it has this nifty tray thingy I needed to fix but it's cool cause it can hold all my belt/pocket nonsense as I swap pants/shorts/kilt etc during this undecisive weather.
Cleaning up these spikes for the sword! They aren't dangerous for the person trying to hold the sword at all!
The blank for the latest sword. I always look grumpy when wrestling with self timer options on cameras/phones.
I have a habit of just making whatever tool it is I need, does anyone know if this thing actually exists in a form you can buy? It's a router type set up but for angle grinders, for taking out a channel of a uniform depth.
A big thank you to Cam LeWren for sending me a spare Utilikilt he had, it will come in handy once it gets hot. Also I will try to be better about posting here I often forget. Patreon Livestream today at 1:00pm Central Time.
Am I the crazy person? The way I do puzzles drives the people who love me insane. I don't spill out the pieces. I remove them from the box one by one, stare at them hard while looking at the box, and then place them, unconnected to other pieces, in the imagined empty grid. They eventually connect.
