Dispatch from Fire Island: Oblivion is Freedom. They are dead, They are gone, No one lasts forever.
I ate a ton of unhealthy food and ridiculous cocktails last night and thought I’d wake up hating myself, but the lighting in my friend’s guest house bathroom did wonders for my outlook.
If my husband buys colored bar soap on more time we’re finished.
Trying to keep my plants alive in this sweltering heat. Ugh. Tonight I’ll be imbibing as much liquid as I’m drenching these pachysandra.
Gave myself a summer buzz cut — will need to have husband clean up the back when he gets home. 😳
To NYers, this may be the most controversial thing I ever say on here: I think One Manhattan Square is underrated as a legitimately attractive piece of architecture. The arrangement of glass subtly references to Chrysler building. See it?
Movie night from my balcony. I love the Lower East Side.
Morning coffee outside season is finally back! Contemplating how to spend my summer Friday…
Here's a photo of the design on the piece showing how the Xs are 1 inch strips of fabric (14,000 of them) sewn with a button stitch onto 1ftX1ft panels (49 of them).
I put in 6 mos of work on this latest textile project and I’m really proud of it. #textileart #fiberart #quilting
BEFORE: boss looking over your shoulder asking when it’s getting done. AFTER: boss trying to cope after you walk out for #MayDay #GeneralStrike
I cannot yet commit to loving the new album coming in July, but I do find Madonna’s new logo immensely pleasing.
This is my dirty mirror and cum gutters Pride post, and what may or may not be an inadvertent #fcf
Reposting from last June’s NoKings protest in solidarity with the people of Minnesota. 💙😢💙. Alex Pretti, Renee Good, which one of us will be next? We will not stop standing for democracy in America.
2nd large textile art project complete! It started with a design I cross stitched onto a pillow and gave to my very Conservative grandfather for Xmas when I was 12 y.o.; and when he opened his present he looked at me with great disappointment, recognition and utter bemusement. ❤️🤷♂️❤️
Friday work from home lewk/current mood. My grandmother’s cross stitch sample sewn into a sweatshirt by my husband.
Among the biggest questions starting 2026: How much of this 1488 page tome will I read before I start skimming? The intro alone is over 100 pages. 😳🤓
I am mildly surprised that I still have some semblance of an ab after all the bûche de Noël and alcohol.
“Santa Claus is Coming to Town” is queer coded.
Taking “curling up with a good book” way too seriously.
