Our boy Griffin

My girl Morrie was my baby girl and best friend. She edited my fic stories by adding blank pages, punctuation and incomprehensible comments. I miss her every day.

Beannachtaí na Féile Bríde! Happy Imbolc to all my fellow pagani. Our household celebrates on both the 1st and 2nd, just because we can. The return of spring this year will be very welcome indeed.

Finished it last night, on to washing, blocking and framing. Design is Oh Christmas Tree by Love Poppet, available at Stitched Modern.

Gordy, Bob and Dutch--my dad in dress whites and two of my paternal uncles, who were sailors in the Pacific Fleet. Dad commanded a Corsair squadron in VMF-214, the Wake Island Avengers. They were the original Antifa who served with honor.

My current work in progress. Cross-stitch helps me focus and relax. It's also a fun way to make gifts. Just finished a dozen small mitten ornaments backed and lined with vintage fabric. They can hold candy or little toys.

Two days after my girl was spayed, I got shown murder paws when she was gently removed from climbing the bedspread. 'DO NOT THWART ME OR I' LL DOOM YA' was pretty much her default attitude. I miss her every day.
