Another one of my most favorite films, "Carmen" (1983) by Carlos Saura I watched it at the theater and I could not talk for a week. I recently got Saura's Flamenco Trilogy DVD set, and this film never gets old.
My mother was an avid mountain hiker. She used to go up in some mountains with her hiking group every weekend. She loved mountain plants and flowers, and used to send me postcards and photos of the beautiful scenery from up there. (continues)

Today is my mom's 96th birthday. When I was little, whenever I had to draw her, I put her bun on top of the head. I was too small to know how to do perspective drawing or side profile. I remember she complained to me about that. So I did the same drawing now, I think it is actually very cute.
