We gave out 10 awards at our annual Denise Carty-Bennia memorial event - these students are dedicated to careers in supporting communities of color! 🎉🤩
Honoring Hon. Margaret Burnham today, she represented her lifelong friend, activist, Angela Davis, (pictured here) who said, first I just want to say “she saved my life.” Lots of partnerships throughout their lives. I once had the privilege to hang out with both at Angela’s home.
Honoring the incredible civil rights activist (and law professor and first African American judge in Mass. ) today! “We Count and Contest” An honor to have been her colleague.
