They started at 6.30 am and were still there at 3.00pm. It chucked it down for a fair bit of that time. Three weeks ago, the same shift, in temperatures over 30 degrees (in the shade). No migrants no asparagus it’s our choice !

Just transporting myself back to the 1970’s. ‘76 - ‘81 and the Farmers Arms, St Merryn. A few pints of these then onto the beach at Harlyn or Mother Ivy’s. Great memories and even greater hangovers.
Lovely new fencing to screen the Sandringham estate toilets. Wonder if it’s a new skill one of the more recent residents has taken up as part of a future community service order ? No sign of him today in a bright orange bib.
