That tiny bit of rain forecast for Sunday seems to be shrinking by the hour!! :(
Hanging around, waiting for my daughter. Found myself in the British Library, doing some Touch Designer tutorials... Pretty pleased with my twisted torus!! 🤩
Probably going to be spending most evenings this week cooling down at the rocks. #midsummer
Yesterday (on #CleanAirDay) our City Data Team launched the new #London Air Quality Dashboard. Epic data engineering to gather the historic and latest AQ data from hundreds of sensors across multiple networks. Frontend #dataviz with #svelte + #observable plot 👍🥳 apps.london.gov.uk/air-quality-...
A proud moment... 🤩 My first #TouchDesigner creation!! London vs UK annual GVA mapped to the width & height of a circle.. I'm calling it the economic oscilloscope! #creativecommuting
This is a trully beautiful presentation of a fascinating subject!! 👏 a-hidden-infrastructure.spun.earth/story/a-hidd...
Why can I write something on here and sound like a vaguely normal human, but do the same on LinkedIn and end up sounding like "business guy" 🤦😂😬
Little preview of something we've been working on recently. Interactive docs for our London City Data Design System (LCD-DS). A design system and #dataviz styelguide to help us build data applications better & faster. Built with #Svelte #d3 #observable. Ramp tool inspired by (and using) #chromajs
Made some for the back doors too... Just in time for the sun to come around. 😅
We went to see this at the amazing Saddlers Wells East tonight. Brilliant! 👍 www.sadlerswells.com/whats-on/aug...
Small satisfying personal win.. Rather than a large and expensive replacement of the entire door frame and window, I replaced and restored the rotten wood in my garage back door step 🪚🔨🪛🥳
This was a great night at the Forum with Eat Static! Solid techno with loads of squelchy 303. Nice!! "5 stars, fine family fun"
We just finished watching "Amsterdam". I didn't know anything about it, and it seemed to get bad reviews, but I loved it. Touches on the rise of fascism between the wars, cheered on by eugenics-loving US big businessmen, and the power of art & love to push back. Plenty of parallels with today.
I got a new book for my birthday!! 🥳 🎂📚📊 I've been after this for a while now! 😁
