I really don’t know how so many notifications wound up on my phone, but I’ll take it. 🎂
What is the influence on a penalty shootout if one’s teams fans are massed right behind the goal. Answer soon to follow…
This is a problem with the Granby St bike lanes as well. For using and entire car lane, there was ample space for a side-by-side bike lane. But as it is, there’s not enough space for two to ride abreast.
I was there today too as well. And I swear, the kerning on those letters is off.
A few quick pics of Sail 250 taken from the HRBT. Sorry to miss the festivities this weekend, but worth it.
A Question of Belonging - Hebe Uhart Went to the @harvardbookstore.bsky.social looking for a book by her and this is what I came out with. A series of nice little travel visits around Latin America.
Last time I saw USA vs Paraguay was in Philadelphia, June 2016 Copa America. USA won, 1-0.

Correction: The bike ban would only take place in the Primary Festival Area.
11/ A well worn desire path. The northbound side of Tidewater Dr seems more heavily traveled than the southbound side.
10/ Crossing the I-64E off-ramp is sketchy. Cars coming down too fast.
9/ It would make a huge improvement if the barrier were moved 6’ to the left flush with the road. This would create safe space for pedestrians to walk.
8/ Northbound on Tidewater, there’s ample space for Jersey barriers to create a safe gravel pathway alongside the road. VDOT construction workers know they’re effective and use them liberally to protect themselves. Why not for pedestrians too?
7/ Of course, crossing the intersection of Tidewater & Thole, there are no crosswalks at all. Pedestrians are to cross at their own risk. NB: There’s a cyclist riding northbound.
6/ From there to Thole St, it’s a well worn desire path. People walk this way a lot.
5/ The sidewalk continues until abruptly stopping at the disused I-64E on-ramp. All it really needs is some maintenance and cleaning up to be serviceable and appealing to pedestrians again.
