The #Perseids are going on...you gonna get out and try to catch some #meteors? 2 years ago tonight, Naomi, her son, and I went out to #KohlerAndrae in the middle of the night...and geesh, it was MAGICAL. 2024 was a crazy year where the meteors AND Northern Lights were happening at the same time!

Besides the awesome MOON, I got to listen to the awesome DJ KU MAYS spin some old skool hip-hop, while wearing his trademark astronaut suit...and then walking around later, I saw the FAMOUS #MILVERINE!
Last weekend was the MOON FESTIVAL, in #Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward and it was COOL AS HECK. The #MoonFestival centers around a photorealistic sculpture of the moon, made of #NASA photos, by #LukeJerram, suspended over Catalano Square!
@tamronamericas.bsky.social has been making this inexpensive, sharp 20mm/2.8 lens since 2019 and that is good, because it is FUN. :) So, whether you're exploring the #HoriconMarsh, or your local thrift store, this lens will serve you well! :)

If you're into MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY and use OM System, this 60mm/2.8 is great AND weatherproof! Get out in the rain and photograph some 'shrooms or something! Also, compact digicams are HOT, like this CANON G9, so swoop in on that before it disappears!
That SONY HVL flash is strong, but it is for the Sony DSLR-era, NOT mirrorless cameras. But that lil Nissin flash should work on many SONY E mirrorless cameras! That Sekonic light-meter can handle all your ambient and flash situations. "Real" togs know that incident metering is where it's at! ;)
FRIDAY USED GEAR! Some sweet Used gear for the FILM and DSLR and Mirrorless gang! :) Are you into film? Have you tried the MINOLTA X-700? That is one sweet SLR, and then pair it with that 50/1.4...you're sure to make some great photos!
There are many internal differences between the #CanonR5 and #CanonR5ii...but interestingly, alll the major sensor specs are IDENTICAL! 🙂 So, if you want a R5ii, let us know and we'll gladly order one up for you! 🙂 In the meantime, here are some pics made with the 1st gen R5! See less

Sure, the sensor is much smaller than the current model, but this Used camera is also about a 1/3 of the cost of GRIV! And it STILL is a lot of fun!
...this kool kat is from c. 2011 and has many of the features that have carried through the GR line. I got to take it to the #OzaukeeCounty Fair this week and it was FUN!
