Father, husband, musician, geek, all year transport cyclist. He/him #CovidIsAirborne Filter the air. Wear a respirator mask.
As a straight white cis male who mostly wears jeans & solid colour t-shirts, you could argue I have no style. But yesterday I did a 2-city road trip to sell one guitar cabinet to buy another. All to complete a long desire to have my guitar amp & speaker in matching tweed. I have *selective* style.
That was a good morning's work. 10 wheelbarrow loads of garden soil moved to fill up the 5 new garden beds
When the website image doesn't load, and all you get is the alt-text. The Matrix is broken
I *love* how you can close a sidewalk for repairs but only put the first indication of the closure next to the work. And nothing back at the previous crossing, where pedestrians could cross to the other side of the road
On the GO train from Kitchener, going to a Toronto Raptors game tonight! As well get closer and the train fills, then we'll mask up. But for now, it's quiet
Rode to work today. -14C, feels like -25C. But not bad when you're dressed for it. #FrostBike #WRawesome
"Cyclists dismount in crosswalk or get $110 fine" So what's the difference of 10 feet to the bike lane? Either way, it's on drivers to look before they turn
I wish that folks employed to clear snow from sidewalks & paths understood that their job is to make walking easier or possible. Not just drive their little plow along a route. Leave a big enough furrow of snow & you might as well have not bothered at all
Not often you get to see a giant gold coin with your own face on it. The things we do for theatre
Just park anywhere, pal. There's lots of available parking. But this person doesn't need to park like everyone else, apparently
A hot day for #KWCycleQuest, our first stop was Block3 in St. Jacob's. Passed some sheep on the way
Finally remembered to take a photo at the end of a Frost Bike. This time a 3-stop errand run
How many cities have empty big box stores? This Kitchener example has been vacant for a decade since Target failed in Canada. What would it take to make this temporary housing of some type? Why couldn't we have tiny houses in the parking lot? We could help the unhoused & the struggling if we choose
Thoughts in order: 1. You should bring in the growler and howler. 2. You should then <fill> the growler and howler. 3. You should take a picture and post about this. <tries to move them> 4. They are frozen to the glass. Be careful.
An anti-aborption sticker, appropriating an Indigenous reconciliation slogan, sabotaging a traffic safety device near a school. I hate it
The family and I are at Mirabel airport for the Make-A-Wish 48 Hour Ride. 13 hours in and I've cycled 100km. Hoping to break 200 again this year
To many, the end of this message is a backwards smile. My brain saw it as a return to the command prompt.
