The division of literary labor, in any case, seems to be such that Karp deployed his own legal counsel in much the same manner as an ordinary person who didn’t want to put in the work might use a generative AI chatbot like ChatGPT, throwing out a mess of half-formed ideas to be put into serviceable prose.

Not only. Israel can provide them with weapons. This was part of the plan. And then, to our amazement, Trump said the Kurds didn’t want to fight. But, really, Trump is the one who forbade them from fighting, because Erdoğan put pressure on him not to do it. Israel had a brilliant plan and spent a lot of money, and shocked the Iranians in the beginning of the war. But you prevented the militias from acting, and now you ask why the regime didn’t fall. Because you didn’t give us the chance. In Gaza. In Lebanon. In Syria. In Iran. Everything we wanted to do, you prevented us from doing it. If you go to war, and you define the goal of the war, do it. If not, don’t do it. It’s not only that you don’t do it, but you falsely blame the Kurds and the Israelis. And you give in to all the demands of Iran. And they won’t stop. Tomorrow, they might say, If you don’t close the Embassy in Jerusalem, we will close the strait. Then what do you do?

Exactly. I never thought of myself as a YouTuber. I feel my journey isn’t that much different from the greats we know and love like Spielberg — not to compare myself to those people, but they started by making short films. They made films over and over until finally someone gave them a chance. YouTube was just a platform. Also, most of our fame started on TikTok, then we started putting [videos] on Instagram, and then we started putting them on YouTube. It’s just a buzzy thing to say “this is a YouTube thing.”

This is from Dario's latest low-energy-manifesto, and I think this might be a bear signal? Dario basically fesses up that "we have no new ideas" and the Claudes are getting faster at gradient stepping towards extracting the maximum value from software, a finite market.

Because we deliberately picked moments (n=129) where we know the human’s choice had room for improvement, this isn’t a like-for-like comparison between model and human judgement. What these moments give us is a set of realistic, challenging situations where the right next step is not obvious, and where the human’s choice serves as a useful yardstick to compare model performance over time. On this measure, our best model in November 2025 (Opus 4.5) beat the human choice 51% of the time; in April 2026 (Mythos Preview), this grew to 64%. The day-to-day work of research is largely a chain of these next-step decisions, making this a relevant measure of the model’s ability to eventually run an investigation of its own. We view this result as an early signal that AI systems are getting better at making the kinds of judgement calls that AI research depends on.
