I _LOVE_ "futureish" tech in older movies. Walls of CRTs with wire spaghetti and jumper cables connecting them, data gloves and headsets with antennas, etc, but leave the real-world tech specs out, they just look absurd now. Img: from the movie "Brazil" Tiny CRT with a large fresnel lens magnifier.
Repotted 3 tomatoes this morning! Hoping to always have tomatoes so we can stop buying them. They ain't getting any cheaper!!
More paint done. Did the whole rim joist inside and out, all vertical posts except for those attached to the house, all upper and lower railings. Much more to do, in-between the rain, bit by bit.
Corolla is FIXED!! Wa-hoo!! Took many hours over 3 days, but I finally got the clutch master cylinder out the new one back in, clutch and brakes all bled, and everything put back together! It works!
A bit more painting done before it started raining again. Also stacked the cedar flooring in a drier area so it won't be so wet when I start to finish it in a few weeks.

Some roof is up! The lumber is drying out for the first time in weeks!!
Roof rafters are in place! To get the roof on, I'll need to, somewhat ironically, wait for the rain to stop! Working out there in the misty rain is just miserable.
Rim joists, a couple joists in the middle, and upright posts are in!
All 3 piers installed to depth and measurements!! I even backfilled around them! No moving them now!!
Got #2 of 3 concrete footings in place, and made a silly wood tailgate for the truck. Digging holes here involves a hammer drill, and an 18lb steel digging bar. I had to break up a huge solid rock in both holes. A jack-hammer would be faster, but I don't have one.
Big load of lumber and hardware to start building the back porch. The truck made it home alright, full throttle up the mountain, and couldn't maintain 50 in some places, but she made it. And two different guys told me my truck was awesome. xD
Corolla out of commission, I'm forced to drive the monster truck to the market. xD
Final design of the catio/porch. Custom-made doors on either end, with a similar design to the railings. All tucked neatly under the existing eave.
Diggy-diggy hole(s). Sinking these tofu blocks into the ground as a foundation for the deck/porch/catio. Might need to get a hammer drill to get through 3-4 more inches of bedrock. Phooey.
Simplified the railing somewhat, so we can see the plants better, by removing at least 48 bits of wood. xD

Yeah here's our former stray, forcing herself onto a couple of seed starter trays on warming mats. If we let her outside, she'd quite happily kill a dozen or more birds every day. Instead, she's just as happy watching them through the window.
