You can't see much in this photo, but the tree that fell last night had a 38" diameter trunk. It nearly completely missed our flag pole, which flies US, Canada, and Ukraine flags. A tiny bunch of leaves was left atop the pole. Good vibes kept the flags safe. I will miss her shade of the last 42 yrs.

My cat knows that if Meowmi is filling the reservoir on the coffee maker at night, it is time for night kibble. Despite doing this Every Single Night, she feels it necessary to sing to me of her famishing hunger while I finish getting the coffee maker ready.

A dear friend of many decades died last year. She had been an avid gardener, but she was well into her nineties and her gardens had gotten overgrown. Last summer her son asked if I would please try and find some of her iris. It was a challenge! Found a few small leaves/corms. But I have two blooms!

Early this Spring, I was out for a walk on a fine day. Along the road, where the blacktop meets a stone wall were tiny poppy plants. A mere 1/2 inch of sand and debris was where they were growing, a death sentence soon. I carefully took a few of them and transplanted them. And then this!

This guy was hanging out in my back yard.

Starving cat licking all molecules of feed from can. Note nearby bowls. Breakfast #1: kibble and H20. #2 Dry kibble. #3 Wet cat food. But it is imperative that the outdoor cat's can must be thoroughly cleaned, because we're not being fed properly.

Back on March 28th, this was my sign. People laughed, thought I was a little wacko.

I feel the same many days, but ours shades the south side of our house and patio, and I can't imagine how hot the house would be without it. Mine is pink!

My good deed for Earth Day. Somehow, a very large (likely an overwintered) Queen Bumblebee found her way into my house. I am allergic to beestings, but geesh! I managed to put a large jar over her when she rested on a wall, slipped some papers under the edge, and outside she went.

Sweet little Dutchman's Breeches seen on a very humid and warm walk yesterday. Wild violets and Bloodroot flowers were also seen. Such beauty after a long winter!

His name was Jaye. He was an excellent cat. He spent his last months being loved and cared for.

In our little very-red town, we had a few hundred folks who braved the below freezing temps and a brisk breeze to protest. This guy was my favorite, out there in a kilt (!) on the corner opposite, waving the Minnesota state flag. That's dedication.

Off to provide medical for a protest. Made this up this morning after hearing Yemen, who can mess with shipping Saudi oil tankers got involved. Hope my prediction is wrong.

Is anyone else outraged? Yes, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor (formerly knows as Prince Andrew) has been arrested. But is it about what he did to this woman and others? NO! It's about money, power, and influence. This is NOT justice for the victims, just business as usual.

If you haven't read these books yet, I recommend you do. Nobody's Girl is undoubtably the saddest book I've ever read, and I've read a LOT of books. Gisele Pelicot is a hero! People need to see what's going on in the world.
