Cranky crone, avid reader and mother of cats. Mostly reposts and likes, socially awkward even on social media. In love with Montreal.
I previously thought that my most bougie act was hiring someone to do my painting for me, but I’ve now scheduled window cleaning and I think that might be bougier. In my defence, I have a large window in my living room that isonly accessible via the smaller side windows and I’m on the 4th floor.
It’s dark and rainy outside, and that’s ok, because I love the excuse to stay inside and be cosy. Bonus - Misha is snuggled up and purring.
Came home to so many flowers on my dahlia plants. So decided to give myself a little balcony bouquet.
We have one in Montreal. So happy that I can drop in and see it whenever I want. Would love to visit Seattle and see his works outside.
Managed to get some photos of a sweet bee with a very white bum having dinner
Am in the garden at my mum’s place in rural Denmark. And, now that the heat has subsided, it, too, is idyllic.
Went to a goat farm in southern France over the weekend and met many fine goats. The one who stole my heart was the patriarch, with his lovely face, huge horns, and love of being skritched. My parents had a hobby farm when I was young, and our goats were my favourite animals. So smart and loving
This is my beautiful boy Misha. He’s a bit raggedy because he lived on the mean streets of Montreal for a few years before I kidnapped him and forced him to live inside. He loves me, likes my best friend and is the imaginary cat for all others who visit. He sends his love
My balcony dahlias are beginning to bloom. I’m away, but have been receiving update photos of the flowers and my kitty.
My cat has had a bad two weeks with a stranger (my sister) in the house and furniture changing (I used the sofa bed) and more strangers (four friends over for dinner). And then I left him forever (3 days). So he’s been hissing and ignoring me. But if I go on the balcony he sits on my lap and purrs!
@whistberry.bsky.social The prints I ordered came! Had frames the right size for two of them, but haven’t managed to get them on my walls yet! They’re lovely!
My sister is visiting, and Misha is concerned that a stranger is in the house.
It’s finally a warm day here, and I accidentally bought plants (was just shopping for bricks and a board to make a balcony bench) Misha and I have discovered that he loves sitting on my lap out here, so that’s what we’re doing. As he is a large cat, he occasionally slips off, but keeps purring.
This is my lovely Misha, looking very glamorous. He’s a smoke black cat, so this is an unusually good photo of him, as usually looks ruffled and disheveled.
Sol’s paintings are so lovely, and frame up beautifully! Your walls and your favourite charity will both thank you! I love the ones that I’ve bought for myself, and my friends love the ones I’ve given them.
I’m sure you must be inundated with requests already, but wanted to show you my two lovely boys, Harry and Boris who passed away almost two years ago. Not queer, but very much an ally…
Good morning! Although it’s only 8 degrees (feels like 4), the sun is shining and I’ve swept the balcony, so I’m declaring balcony season open!
I just framed and hung three of Sol’s photographs, and they are incredibly beautiful. If you like moody, atmospheric nature photography you should definitely check out their store! I wasn’t able to take pictures good enough to really do justice to them. The photos on the store site are much better…
@solexposure.bsky.social Your photographs are up, and oh, they are so beautiful! My pictures don’t do them justice at all. I am in love with the colours and textures
Good morning to the kittens from my big boy, Misha, who is a smoke. Sometimes it’s difficult to see, but this pic shows it really well. He often looks quite scruffy when his fur is rumpled enough to show the white.
He followed her into the living room and posed again. Such a handsome baby cat.
Off to Ottawa tonight! Taking the train, which always feels like an adventure. Misha is in good hands with my friend, who has just sent me this picture. Apparently she told him the photo is for me 😁
Every time I rewatch DS9 and see scenes where you can see the cutlery used in Quark’s bar, I feel a little frisson of pride. Because I have that cutlery! Tap on the photo to see it in all its glory :-)
Oh, and tiny white stars and blue flowers. Don’t know what either of there are called
