My dad called me Floradora for as long as I can remember. I didn't know it was actually a rose...and a cocktail! The roses are mentioned in a book I am reading so I searched and was so surprised! The cocktail sounds delicious BTW.

I just got to go into a space I've never been in before! Who knew this was hidden behind a storage room filled with children's toys. (I bet a lot of people knew.) #DelightOfTheDay

A concrete room with a lot of white machinery. The machinery is about the size of a shipping container but not as tall. There are doors (large enough for a person to fit through) that each have a porthole type window in them. It is too dark to see through the window. I bet Ben knows what it looks like inside....

Dear Grounds Guy, This would have been easier to pick up BEFORE you mowed over it. And mowing over fireworks is certainly a choice. PS - I see you there on the mower and I know you see me picking up all the pieces. 🤬

Zoey and I (and a few other family members) are watching all the yard games and fireworks from the deck. I'm on a bar height chair so the deck rail is a perfect height chin rest to for her to watch the action. It's been a peopley day. 😂

Ope - just found out she's not coming until tomorrow. She's pretty high stress so we get a 24 hour reprieve before she brings it to us. There should be no stress at the cabin.

I went looking for lightning info. I thought MN had a lot of lightning...but not compared to Texas, Louisiana and Florida!

A screenshot from a USA Today article about states with the most lightning. Eastern Texas, Louisiana and Florida have a lot of dark orange and red areas indicating a lot of lightning. Southern Minnesota is mostly light orange while northern Minnesota is blue and green indicating less lightning.

I was weeding and trimming in my backyard and mama wren was so mad at me. And then I saw this! A baby wren looking for a snack. 😍

A friend and I went walking along the Mississippi River bluffs. It was beautiful. We saw and heard a bald eagle. There was a lot of tree cover so no photo. #DelightOfTheDay
