Some good news, I finally have animation nodes working in Blender 5.2, meaning I can upgrade the production from Blender 4.5 to 5.2 That means Pandemonium has used Blender versions from 2.65 to 5.2

Funny production detail about Pandemonium. For one of the flashback sequences, I ended up using a shot I had made for a previous project, and it wouldn't render right on anything but the version of Blender I used to originally make it. That's Blender 2.65, from late 2012.
I got a case for my Pixel 7 Pro, but even without it they put the cameras in a nice bar. I feel like Apple could steal that.
Had some production meetings regarding Pandemonium this weekend. Things are still on track. I'm doing animation fixes for act 1, and act 2 is almost done animating.
All that heat and all that stress aren't helping out tonight. I ended up with a nasty headache.

So ... long story short, I was supposed to start a new job, and the project it was tied to got abruptly cancelled. I have to start commission work until a new project starts, but while I figure out how I would even price that, I'm adding new YCHs.
Really gonna be pushing it. I can't go above 2GB since it would rely on shared video memory, and shared video memory on a x1 slot is not gonna go well.
Based on benchmarks, it would be about 2.8x faster than my CPU. I only got one x16 PCI slot, and one of those x1 slots with the end cut up so I can still slide a x16 card in it. Hopefully the limited bandwidth won't hurt render times too much.
So I somehow have some renders that are below 2GB of memory usage. I might try to see if I could get some use for my ancient GTX 1050 for those renders. No idea if it's still viable, but it's worth a try.
My best guess is that the port just doesn't supply enough power for the drive somehow. Using this USB-C dongle and plugging it thru my power adapter seems to fix the issue.
I think my Framework might have a curse. Wouldn't recognize one of my USB HDDs, but I tried on my Steam Deck and it works just fine.
The approach is rather simple. For the outline AOV, the outline colors are set to black using a color override node, then set to subtract with the original pass. That way, only the outline color stays. Unfortunately that means having to render the scene twice to extract the outline.

Finally added my YCHs to Artist Alley. It took me more time than I would have wanted to get Stripe to work, but now it's here! You can still get them the old fashioned way, of course.
