there are so many good oldies! OP's is probably my favorite. but this line from one of the newer Hulu episodes has stuck with me for a couple years (when Amy and Kif's kids hatch and Leela is reminded that she is technically the mother of some of them)

went looking for the "put it in reverse, Terry" clip as I was surprised not to have seen it yet today and found this horrible shirt 😄

Just FYI if you have federal student loan debt and signed up for the SAVE program under Biden, you do not actually have to switch plans by July 1. It is being litigated by the Student Debt Crisis Center nonprofit and if you switch you lose the benefit of being part of the class-action suit

this little roguelike dungeon crawler rpg on my phone that i've been casually playing for 12 years often has seasonally-themed food but this is the first time i noticed a rainbow pride potion 🌈 💖

flavor text of a food item in an rpg backpack, a little rainbow-striped potion which charms enemies for a few turns as well as curing a hunger debuff. it says "Happy Pride!"

the game is a mod of Pixel Dungeon called Shattered Pixel Dungeon. i've played most of the mods and this is the one most faithful to the original (other mods usually mitigate the permadeath factor of roguelikes and if there's no permadeath it's not actually a roguelike, thanks for coming to my TED talk)

My mom went to "Persia" in the early 1960s on a high school trip and brought this back. I wonder how old it is (or if it's even a prayer rug because there are animals depicted here and I thought the rule was vegetal motifs only but I'm only remembering from art history class and coffee shop elders)

wool prayer(?) rug purchased in Iran around 1963? with birds and frogs which seems unusual to me because I thought prayer rugs only were allowed to have vegetal motifs or at least that's what I learned in an art history survey course in 1994

A question that could easily have been inspired by Macross: when I was a kid I thought it was neat that the SDF-1 accidentally hyperspace jumped to Pluto, taking some of the ocean with them including a giant tuna, and they couldn't warp back because the warp controls disappeared during the jump

Rick/Hikaru and Minmei looking at a giant flash-frozen tuna from the bit of ocean that made the jump to hyperspace with the SDF-1 (the ocean water froze in chunks, they took a bit of land with them too, and the crew and accidentally-teleported civilians scavenged that to build a city inside the ship because they had to take the long way home because, due to not fully understanding the alien technology, the space fold system disappeared when they made the time-space travel jump, presumably left on Earth by itself or in a "fold space" like a qiankun sleeve)

I have very casually played neko atsume on and off for years across 3 different phones, never getting very far (one time i bought the yard/house expansion but never 'collected them all') but someone #onhere posted about neko atsume 2 so i downloaded it AND now THERE IS ALSO A DOG LOOK AT THIS CUTIE

i just never had the patience to check in on this thing several times a day to catch all the cats. i remember figuring it out to the point that i attracted some of the 'special' cats but idk maybe this time it is a better use of my fried brain than it was 10 years ago or whenever it was that this game came out. it was before i got off of fbook, so 2015? 2014? was it as long ago as grad school? i guess i could look it up lmao

Mission Control just confirmed about 8:35 CDT that the tiny speck we saw here at the beginning of the eclipse period is the planet Venus

was gonna draw 2 little stick figures on opposite sides of the earth but i discovered someone already created a much better graphic (i do get ppl aren't often looking for an actual explanation)
