#nowwatching Event Horizon (1997) It's striking to me just how much horror is in Sam Neill's career. We're back in the scifi horror crossover, before Jason X killed this experiment. But this has a lot of love for the horrors of space. Such fine details and stunning visuals. This one holds up well.

#nowwatching Jurassic Park (1993) What is there to say? A perfect storm film; great book, great actors, a director at his prime and the special effects right were they need to be. A great cast too. And of course starring Sam Neill. Quietly, one of the greats and a favorite of mine. Rest in peace.
#nowwatching Fallen (1998) I wanted a follow up to Manhunter that wasn't anything related to Silence of the Lambs. What a treat. Just perfect, dark neo noir 90s. I love the strangely down to earth supernatural thriller. Machete's up for this one. You all have got to have seen this one, right?

#nowwatching The Keep (1983) This was a first watch for me, and bruh, I was not prepared. The steam cloud golem looks so sick. This is like if a nihilist made Brazil. We got ancient keeps, lasers melting Nazi heads, 80s CGI and a Michael Mann filmed sex scene to farty 80s trumpets. Hell yeah.
Today we are starting off with a Michael Mann double feature. #nowwatching Manhunter (1986) Before Silence of the Lambs, we see Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecktor (that's how they spell it, don't yell at me). Very 80s, very neo-noir, but William Peterson gives us a look into his Will Graham.
What a film. I feel I un-learned anything I knew about sharks. Amazing. Its beautiful to see a film so full of stolen, borrowed ideas. And yet, it is one of a kind. #FrightClub #CruelJaws

#nowwatching Frankenfish (2004) Okay, this one is quite fun. We have some budget on screen ans the wetlands in the film are shot well. Also the side characters are a lot of fun if in the strange side. Yeah, this one gets a machetes up rating from me 🔪
#nowwatching The Snakehead Terror (2004) One of two movies on today's Snakehead double feature. Made for TV ripoff of Jaws, with some other stolen scenes as well. Kind of sluggish but has it's charms. And we are watching a bad DVD rip, hell yeah. #filmsky #horrorsky #moviesky
