ca. 1972 Fleetwood Mac "Bare Trees" I tried listening to some "later" Fleetwood Mac today (Tusk, etc.} and I just couldn't endure it. That is some grade school level music. So, I decided to throw on a few Welch/Kirwan era albums, including this gem. Early Mac 1969-1974 is the best Mac.
ca. 1972 Magna Carta "Lord of the Ages" I have been enjoying/revisiting the early Magna Carta albums. This, their 4th album, was made after Gus Dudgeon left, taking Davey Johnstone with him to join Elton John. Rick Wakeman also gone, but their songcraft was strong enough to produce a lovely record.
