MI Artist…Photography
@mitraveler2025
I am a photographer, musician, graphic designer and a writer. Progressive Dem. This is my photo space. I hope it brings all its viewers joy! Love triumphs over hate! 💙💙
My daughter does pet portraits in old DVDs, and other media as well…upcycling our garbage. She does amazing things with trash. She’s trying to start a dog training…or as she says, people training, business. Visit her website and order your pet portrait! We need to raise $50,000 to get this going!!
Not sure if this is Randall or Nugget, but I wanted to leave my last photo, for a bit, with a smile. I am going on a trip. Hopefully I will have lots of photos to share when I get back!!
Just adding a few images to my question which is related. Does anyone else have issues commenting on posts…specifically political ones? It seems that some posts I cannot comment on.
July 4. Guess I’m just not into celebrating anything this year. It’s been kind of a poopy week…
Pink roses…July 3. This little rose bush has struggled for 5 years. It’s finally coming into its own.
Trying color vs black & white. So far, don’t know which one I prefer…
Today is July 1. My challenge is to take 3 photos a day of something viewing it 3 different ways for the entire month. That’s 31 days. Guess I’ll see what happens! Feel free to join me! You can post in my comments. No porn though.
My lillies are blooming! I’m excited, but it’s just marking the time going by so quickly! It’s already June 30…July 1 is tomorrow. I think about what to do with the time I have left. Time to put a few books together for my kids and grandkids I think. I have so many pictures!!
I was out weeding today and found this little guy. I picked him up, took his photo and let him go. Just another of a gazillion reasons I love where I live. Take care of the land and the land will take care of you. Take care of the land because it is not just here for humans, but ALL life.
As my daughter teaches her art class, I play with my photography. Love flowers and whatever is to be seen a bit differently.
Details Of A Wooden Boat…working on an article about the Hessel, MI Antique Wooden Boat Show coming up in August. It’s actually a very interesting show. Largest one in the world, I’m told. 😜
I am obsessed with the Mac Bridge right now. I’m waiting to get “the” shot. Not sure what that is, but here are a few more I’m adding to my progress.
We have a 20-year-old couch that I tried to give away years ago, but never could because it’s so dang big!! Well, when we moved back to MI, I had it recovered and said no dogs allowed on it. That lasted about a year. At least people are covering it and Fargo’s staying on the covers….mostly….
Good night BlueSky folk! A gorgeous sundown on the summer solstice.
Out in the back woods today, checking out the butterflies. Lots of milkweed, clover and monarch butterflies. Of course it was a tad windy, so I got a few pictures of 1.
Rain Water On A Swing Seat It rained. The rain collected on the pergola and dripped onto the seat of my swing. So, why not snap a photo of it. Had to see what I could see in it.
The butterflies out in the yard over the past few days has been crazy. This was one, but there were so many!! It’s been an interesting year, so far, here in my yard….
Day 10 of Shadows. I think that this one is my favorite from this challenge. Yep. For sure. A new one will start soon.
Day 9 of Shadows. One is typical shadows and two is what creeps me out IN the shadows. Insects are fun to photograph…sometimes…but I find them creepy all the same. At least this fly didn’t have a human head or arm belonging to a mad scientist…
Day 8 of Shadows. One of my typical ones and then one from on the ceiling. I kept hearing “Dancing On the Ceiling” by Lionel Ritchie. Thus, snapped it and added it. 😜. Hinting at my next challenge…
Day 7 of Shadows. This one the shadow is not the main subject, but I liked the image overall. I was sitting in my truck and just snapped a couple photos waiting for my daughter to get back in. I take lots of photos almost every day of a challenge.
Day 6 of Shadows. These were fun. One is “bunny food”, the other two were my bearded iris. My plants are loaded with blooms! There must be 50 on each plant this year!
Day 5 of Shadows. Every evening, as the sun goes down, it casts shadows on this photo I have hanging on the wall. It’s light casts shadows to the left, but, the way the photo is taken, it appears the sun’s rays are shining through clouds going right. I love that play on light and shadow.
Day 4 of Shadows. Geranium shadows. I tried to take a variety of angles on this and the best ones were kind of straight down and off to the side. Working with outdoor shadows is a bit challenging with by fat butt getting in the way!
Day 3 of Shadows. I got about an hour of sun today and ran outside to see what I could see based on shadows. I actually liked all the different shadows I saw here. Originally I didn’t, but, after taking the shot, I saw it a bit differently.
Day 2 of Shadows…I kind of like how these came out and yep. It’s supposed to rain all darn week.
Getting back on track with my challenges, I am going to start the summer off with a shadow challenge. For the next 10 days, I want to see how I can play with shadows. Now, watch it rain all week and I’ll only have the indoor areas to play with…
Just played with sun positioning some today. Waiting to see the aurora again….
