I was pretty enthralled with this one in Auckland on the volcano trail (can't remember the real name) in front of (I think) the military museum. It was like nothing I'd ever seen

Giant sparsely-leaved tree in Auckland, NZ that I encountered on a walk along a path up an ancient, dormant volcano. It has a gnarly trunk with massive above-ground roots and spreads out widely from only a few feet up its massively wide "trunk", though it does not have much of a trunk to speak of.

Another mesmerizing one, you get endless subtly different effect just by changing the starting theta and phi angles - I think this one was originally 67 and 76. We are seeing the shape looking straight down onto the XY plane, when rotated you find that it is a hockey-puck shaped disk.

Just yesterday, with the latest greatest ChatGPT model, was steaming along on a complex bit of threading code when it dawned on me that the damn thing made a bad inference, and the process of proving it negated all of my time savings. The tech is fundamentally prone to error, and always will be.
