E-bike summer—Midtown Greenway from W River Parkway to Depot and back!
Starting to get our professional photos back from Hamline Midway Library opening last week. Bike racks were full like this all day!!! Photos by Liam James; bike rack design by Lucy Michell.
For years I have ALWAYS always had a great experience at the Roseville license/passport center! These folks know what they’re doing.
We had over 1300 people come through Hamline Midwqy Library today to help us celebrate our first day being open! Thank you neighbors—new and familiar—you gasped, cried, laughed and checked out SO many books, movies and music. We built this library for you. Thanks for waiting. ❤️
Hamline Midway Library, aka the GOAT, opening this Saturday July 18. Storytime 10:30; my remarks and ribbon cutting 11:15. Tours and artist talks and ice cream and DJ and awesome staff. Also normal library stuff like books, music, movies and study rooms. Open until 5:30. Can’t wait to meet you!
Nice ride from St Paul on Gateway Trail until about a mile from Stillwater, a big tree had fallen recently blocking the path. Tons of folks carrying their bikes over but we decided the Universe was telling us to head back. #ebikesummer
Spouse and I took our new Aventons on a Sunday errand to MOA. Thought it would be yuck but it was so great-nice trails in S Mpls and Richfield primarily. Last mile in Bloomington was dodgy. Also got compliments on our new bikes on the way!
Nobody is more surprised than me to be presenting on this topic at @ala-pla.bsky.social. Library people—lean into politics—it’s just relationships and we know how to do that!
Art shantys were exactly where I wanted and needed to be today. Minneapolis my ❤️

Seeing Nic Zapko today at press conference reminded me so much of 2020 that I burst into tears. It was really nice to see them, though. 💔
Minnesota Black Authors Expo coming to SPPL- George Latimer Central Library on April 12th!
Lots of interesting people and things in Miami; this was a highlight. Wish I had followed it.
