Highly recommend that part of RMNP. You can see 5 waterfalls along a 5.5-mile hike. I stayed at a campground just a mile down the road from the park entrance.
TIL about the beelike tachinid fly (Adejeania vexatrix). I encountered some in Rocky Mountain National Park yesterday. And I did think it was a bee at first. The bright orange abdomen was not something I had seen before, so I looked it up once I had signal. They like to sip nectar from coneflowers.
The goats on Mt. Blue Sky were in top form on Sunday. The one on the left has a terrible joke to tell you, while the crew on the right is posing perfectly for the cover of a 90s alt-rock album. #MtBlueSky #Colorado
It's Wednesday so we have a new #Wow2026 #PowerBI challenge. This week's challenge is from Santhana Lakshmi Ponnurasan and is all about sentence template tooltips! This challenge is fairly quick and beginner-friendly. Join us! @merrykerry.bsky.social @shan-gsd.bsky.social
I took my dog on her first hike since she had her TPLO surgeries and arthritis injections. She did great, went about 3 miles. We'd been working up to the distance with walks around the neighborhood, but hadn't gone more than 2.5 miles. Here's Izzy posing for a photo about halfway through our hike.
It's Wednesday! This week's #Wow2026 for #PowerBI is an Euler diagram. Give it a try using your visual of choice! I used Deneb, but there are other possibilities. www.workout-wednesday.com/pbi-2026-w23/ @shan-gsd.bsky.social @merrykerry.bsky.social
That feeling when you finish a project and can finally close a bunch of applications and browser tabs.
This week's Workout Wednesday for Power BI is a wind vector map created using Vega-Lite in Deneb. Check it out and create your own version! www.workout-wednesday.com/pbi-2026-w22/ #Wow2026 #PowerBI @shan-gsd.bsky.social @merrykerry.bsky.social

This weekend, I learned that 1) I have peonies in my yard 2) You put them in a cage to keep them from flopping over. Not sure if I did this at the correct height, but I guess I'll find out in a few weeks (and it's adjustable).
I have now moved on to pepihuates. Do y'all know about Japanese peanuts? This is a Mexican snack that has varying recipes. The way I like it includes cucumber, jicama, Japanese peanuts, tamarind pieces, chamoy sauces, lime juice, tajin, and Valentina sauce. Other versions use Clamato.
My boyfriend has one, and he occasionally prints stuff for me. I have some fun stuff, but the most useful thing he made me was a spacer for spacing my photos in a grid. I have a slight astigmatism that cannot be corrected by contacts so I never know if anything is straight.
Please allow me to introduce you to my current unhealthy snack craving: tajin chili & lime gummy bears. I have to take a few and put the bag far away so I don't eat them all in one sitting. They also have tajin watermelon rings and peach rings, but the gummy bears are better IMO.
This is a wood deck that I am tearing up because it was poorly built and not very safe. It's not connected to any other structure, just sitting on the concrete blocks. If you step on the edge, the whole thing tilts to that side. Turn this into a metaphor for data architecture/engineering.
I actually voted last week. My ballot was mailed to me a few weeks ago. I filled it out at home and dropped it in a nearby ballot box last week.
