Part goddess, part mountain goat. Australian ex NYC. Recovering journalist, bolshie Buddhist. Difficult! Happy to be here. Hi
Surprised to see what looks like a little Kyle Sandilands garden (well, pot plant) gnome in a local shop window I passed on my way to the Metro. Nice work, whoever did this. 😎
And the trusty local magnolia is already dressed in big beautiful blossoms again. 🤗 Spring can’t be far away. 👒
Earlier this afternoon : in the east, a rainbow. In the west, a cloud with a silver lining. Later, steely grey sky all over, and pouring rain. 🤷🏼♀️
Goodnight all And, thank you. And may we remember our shared humanity & contribute in whatever ways we can to living together peacefully. 🪷 🪷 🪷
Local guy using the sidewalk nature strip this afternoon to catch the day’s last rays for himself & his laundry. And not just watching it dry, but probably guarding it too. 🤷🏼♀️ 😊 I liked his chutzpah. 😎
Good morning. Here’s a local Staghorn Fern (Platycerium superbum), a large epiphytic fern native to Australia that grows on trees. When they first attach to the tree they are almost invisible. I only noticed this one last week. Will watch it with interest.
A pastel sky in the east this evening. Lovelier than my little pic can capture.
Bit chilly in North Sydney this morning. 🥶 Definitely “feels like” 3.2 (temperatures in Celsius)
I was quite taken with the simple urgency of this bold fish and chips sign at Circular Quay in Sydney when I passed by the other evening.
