Deep in the heart of Texas. Loving my neighbors, except the shitheads. Language nerd. Cat lady. Novice gardener.
I did a double take and had to pat Romulus to make sure he wasn't moonlighting and your house. Good night Jinx, momb. And all the cats and their servants.
I have one like that! Hedy. Adopted from the shelter when she was about 5. Super skitty. She's gloriously comfortable and affectionate now. You can tell she was adored. I imagine her person died and she found herself homeless. I'm so happy she's with me.
Here's my super social barnacle kitty, Romulus. He greets every visitor and lets them pick him up. He has a devoted following. They bring him presents. People aren't convinced i have a second cat.
I'm painting the trim and Romulus figured out how to stay as close as possible while I work.
Are y'all ever unreasonably happy for no good reason? It's so hot, money is tight and the future is iffy. But my to-do list grows shorter, Romulus and all his legs is the cutest kitty ever, and I'm a little drunk. Wishing you an equally happy evening.
(I'm so sorry. Did you feed yourself and your cat today? Were you kind to yourself and your cat today? That's good enough then. I hope tomorrow is better). I was going to save this tongue out, toes out twofer for Tuesday but here, enjoy a sneak preview.
I grew 5 kinds of tomatoesfrom seeds, but this crazy volunteer is not among them. Anybody else have a glorious, lusty tomato bush? It's trellised and about 6 ft x 3 foot. And about 6 ft tall. I'm living in luxury.
I'm sitting here watching my tomatoes grow. Meanwhile, here's my father
She'll get there. This is years ago when Romulus was my apprentice. These days he demands i hold all 13 lbs of him in both arms while I work.
YES, and my goodness how I love it. We use the Sure Feed microchip feeder. It's been a game changer. Check out the black kitty in the background enjoying her meal on her own timeline while the voracious tabby in the foreground understands it's not for him.
It's this guy's 6th gotcha day. He's still my symbiote. I'm really happy for you!
Thank you for this tip! I got one and my dainty eater just figured it out today. The voracious eater is none too pleased about it.
I'm thinking I'm gonna get a microchip feeder so the fat cat stops stealing food from the skinny cat
Romulus enjoying a belly* massage. That pile of stuff behind him should be on a table, not the couch, but he knocked over a glass of tea on the table to create a diversion so I would put down my tamales and eggs. *this belly contains tamales and eggs #cats #catsofbluesky #noregrets #wasIplundered
Romulus is a lazy dancer, preferring interpretive lounging. But depending on the dance party vibes maybe you can include him. ❤️
My Romulus was raised by his mom and weaned naturally, and he's the sweetest, most secure, most sociable kitty I've ever known. I think there's some real magic in being steeped in mama's love.
That reminds me my (our) favorite seasonal flavor should be back in stock.
In my efforts to save the planet by composting, I have added 3 plastic under-sink compost pails to landfill trash in the last 8 years. This time I got a little steel & enameled campstove and I'm delighted it will the last compost pail I'll ever need.
I love cats~my own and everybody else's. I also love putting seeds in dirt and getting flowers, herbs, and vegetables. I'm new to it but I'm obsessed. Here's Romulus (l) and Hedy (r) for the cat tax.
Did Romulus hurt his back? Of course not. He's held together with springs. Doesn't stop him from claiming the heating pad when he gets the chance. #catsofbluesky
