I know most of these are pretty mainstream, but I gotta be honest with my picks.

The final Eggman boss from Sonic Superstars drove me insane. I was mostly enjoying the game up until this point, but this made me straight up quit the game. Two incredibly long, difficult phases with a very thin margin for error. I got the feeling the game just wasn't respecting my time here.

You need to get those decoy Eggman shields from your Metropolis Zone boss fight for protection. Nobody gets through those babies. Now, about those fireworks, did you set them up nearby for some random hedgehog to fire them back at you? Because that's a very you move, Eggman.

Nah, you're not dumb, those games are just manipulative. They're meant to overwhelm and confuse you into spending money on their lottery wheels in hopes of getting your favorite characters. The only gacha that's good are the "Gotcha Machines" in Kirby and The Forgotten Land.

I have so much love and respect for the Sega Saturn. I really REALLY wish that it was treated better in The West and had its whole library released, instead of the pittance we got. But yeah, I love the Saturn and I especially love the Panzer Dragoon trilogy. Just beat Saga a couple of days ago.

Well, I finally beat Panzer Dragoon Saga. I've now played every single game in the franchise. This was such a beautiful, one of a kind game. I'm happy I got to experience this game for myself. One of the finest RPGs I've ever played. I'll carry it and the rest of the series in my heart forever.

I finally beat Demon Tides. I'm really happy I finally saw this game through to the end. So many cool levels, awesome movement upgrades to find, and really stylish outfits to unlock. And the boss fights were all shockingly great. One of the finest 3D platformers I've ever played, bar none.

I finally fully completed Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest for the first time. It took so SO many save states, but it feels good to see this game through to the end.

They should've canceled Super Toilet. That thing took the plunger. The whole plunger! SO MUCH CLOGGING!!!

Yeah, life is funny like that. As disappointed as I am that this is a remake of Starfox 64, I'm equally if not more excited just to see that Starfox is back. I hope the new game turns out well. I'm on that Starfox hype train. Let's just hope it doesn't end up like that other train.

I like how Nintendo has at least two villains, Zero and Andross, that have revived themselves from total annihilation out of sheer willpower and hatred. That's really damn cool.

One understated aspect about the Zelda series that I really like is how the games celebrate the coexistence of the various races of Hyrule and denounces isolationism as harmful and reductive. You see this a lot more in BotW and TotK. I think that's really beautiful.
