The diagonal stripes are supposed to be thinner, which you can see in an official flag. My issue is that if you look at the picture of the folded flag, you can see that the top layer is narrower than the bottom layer by about an inch on each side. Oops.

Quilters! Help! I’m not a good quilter, and when I sewed the bias seams, it drew in an inch in each side. Do I just ignore that and have a trapezoidal flag (which people may not notice)? Or try to trim it, making the other stripes not rectangular?
