Mōrena Tāmakimakaurau! It’s a crispy one with fog in the upper harbour towards Herald Island and wisps of cloud dancing on the sea at Greenhithe. I am one of only two on the outside deck of the ferry today, toasty in my layers of wool. “There is no bad weather only inappropriate clothes”
Mōrena Tāmakimakaurau! Fog. Beautiful? Yes A commuter’s nightmare? Also yes. We are starting the commute 15 minutes late and will arrive even more behind schedule. Do I need to be at work by 8.30? Yes. On the upside, the crew says it is quite localised, ending around Kauri Point.
Mōrena Tāmakimakaurau! No competition for the seats on the outside deck of the ferry this morning 🥶 I am wearing: a thermal top, a blouse, a knitted vest, a heavy coat, gloves hat and scarf, thick stockings and a long skirt. It would be wrong to say I am toasty, though.
Vegan lunch for me in private hospital: soup, white bread roll, vege lasagne, fruit. Nice but meal after meal no protein. They have nutritionists???

Bit of a pea souper on the upper Waitematā this morning. Checked the motorway traffic cameras for a look around the city and it seems to be fairly localised. Can hear the ferry horn as it comes in from Beach Haven but cannot see it …
