Sometimes I like to imagine she does these things on purpose and is just laying there trying really hard not to laugh. Like in her mind she’s an amazing dog comic. “Humans sleep like this…do do do… look at me, I am a human. I sleep like I am in a coffin…do do doo…”
This one line is probably the clearest evidence of our future. And I don’t mean “ours” as in Dems. I mean “ours” as in all people all over the world now and forever. We’ve reached peak commodification. There is nowhere for us to go in this system of currency.
Look how cool Moon Palace looks. It almost looks like it’s LA at dusk. Or a Palm Springs film noir set. The bookstore like a shining refuge, with endless cold water, in a dusty-ass desert town. @schwesbomb.bsky.social
I want someone to knit this lil’ guy onto a sweater for me. Wearing his red shirt and orange shorts. A true gentle and confused giant.
I have never noticed before how Lake Superior looks like a weird hungry wolf mouth breathing into the state of Minnesota. It’s like if the Simpsons had a wolf character who only appeared at the bar.
Days when it’s 95+ degrees unearth such a deep nostalgia in me. My favorite after-pool lunch was PB&J and Cheetos eaten under the blazing sun with pruny fingers that still smelled like chlorine. And face scrunched up from the sun as I talked to myself and all the butterflies in my mom’s garden.
And then I took a Lyft, where I could see FOUR SCREENS following the car I was traveling in. FOUR SCREENS. 🤣
Here is just part of the absolute stunning lighting storm we got to witness as if from outer space. There are better ones than this in the white clouds but it is hard to make out the light bursts. This absolutely Terrible Shitty Ass (TSA) video cannot do any part of it justice.
Some of us wore St. Louis sweatshirts because the airport was air conditioned to 55 degrees. As we got off the plane, someone told the pilot we ate gummies. I asked who told the pilot? And someone said, “Granny. She called us out!”i
This is what it is up close. Why is it…there? Like of all places in the room?
Can someone please tell me why this is here? And can you also tell me why I don’t hate it?
South St. Louis has a huge Bosnian community. So I stopped at a spot near my mom’s house. The heat index is 97 degrees. And there’s not a single American jersey I can see. This is the only way to celebrate the 4th of July.
Saw this by my mom’s house earlier. I’m not sure what it says. But I am very sorry to report that “Boink Sun” has become a new vocal stim. 😞BOINK sun! BOINKsun! Boink, sun!
🎶 “Why do helicopters suddenly appear, every time you are near” 🎶 I thought I heard a familiar South Minneapolis sound…
My mom just said “let’s get some weeding done” before it’s too hot tomorrow. She just had a heart stent put in on Tuesday! It “feels like” 107 degrees in STL right now, and somehow the humidity is in 92 percent even though it’s sunny. My mom: “That’s nothing! Wait till tomorrow to complain.” 🥴
One thing about being back in St. Louis is I still find joy driving around and machine-gun fake laughing like I am 12-years old.
Eating Imo’s pizza and toasted ravioli in my mom’s bed. No, she didn’t eat any. Yes, I ordered this all for myself.
I am dying laughing about this missing apostrophe here: “KARE 11 Anchors Husband Suspected Of Drunk Boating In Wisconsin Crash”
My mom was hospitalized after an adverse reaction to Sudafed, which caused such high eye pressure she lost some vision. I was worried because I hadn’t heard back from her. Turns out she’s just been busy watching comedian Josh Johnson on IG for the last six hours. My mom is 80. And ridiculous.
I cannot even wrap my head around this. I thought it was a joke about white people. Then I thought it was right-wing trolling. But it’s actually a full-on real, deep level of white self-importance, arrogance, ownership, & total disregard for anyone else in the world or the space you take up in it.
Picked the right day to wear this shirt, I guess. LOL. But seriously: We got this, and each other. This is an intimidation tactic. It’s how they erode civil rights. It’s how they make their job of abducting people easier for when it ramps up again. We won’t let that happen. We keep us safe!
“It’s gonna put a ton of people on the street,” Mayor Jacob Frey said Thursday, about another project funding real estate investors over the needs of the community.
Listening to the rain on the porch with these two weirdos who are very good at neighborhood ICE watch.
Alpha News releasing this “Minnesota Mao documentary” really makes a finer point: What’s the word for when something is so equally hilarious and terrifying at the same time that your face contorts into laugh cries that ultimately turn you into a wet corpse? Wrong answers only.
Getting a “severe weather alert” for an entire month of possible weather is less like an “alert” and more like seeing billboards for the Cremation Center of Minnesota while driving home from the State Fair. ALERT: Anything is possible but one thing is inevitable.
This bitch wasn’t even old enough to be alone on a train—let alone drinking a can of cider?! www.bbc.com/news/article...
