I have a new set of shelves coming by the end of the week but I had the itch to reorganize so figured while I wait I'd rearrange my crowded shelves
Brand New Day was really good It's gonna take some time for me to assess how I feel it ranks with other Spider-Man films but it was entertaining like most of them Have a few gripes I won't spoil but I really appreciated how Spider-Man centric this film was
I've mainly been a fan of Splatoon for the multiplayer but the announcement of a Splatoon Raiders made me consider going back to the Splatoon games for their campaigns Splatoon 1 was more fun than I expected especially with the boss fights and it was kinda nostalgic going back to the wii u for this
Got some nice switch 2 edition games finally delivered from @vgp-videogamesplus.bsky.social
Still trying to process in my mind how it's really over like after 2027, these games will skyrocket in prices because they've become a commodity that is no longer manufactured Just a depressing time like even tho I won't stop gaming, it's not fun knowing part of the experience has been taken away
Went to a retro gaming expo and was not expecting to get a full Nintendo haul like this but that's what I gravitated to this year
Watched hoppers the other day and it was pretty enjoyable It's a charming pro nature narrative and loved seeing Mabel become real friends with the creatures she is trying to save and how she deals with her own personal struggles Glad to see a recent well done original film by Pixar
Saw kick ass for the first time and it was a funny superhero parody Despite the comedy the movie does get dark at certain points but overall it was an enjoyable film about kid who's way in over his head getting roped into a real supervillain's scheme going thru his own unique superhero origin
This one of those random games I came across in a youtube video and gotta say this is such a short but really fun game Never thought the drill wisp from sonic colors would be such a fun gameplay mechanic digging and flying thru dirt to make progress through all the levels and fun boss fights
Watched Code 3 yesterday and it was simultaneously really funny but also really depressing It's surprising how the movie manages to have some lighthearted comedy while being a commentary how shitty a paramedic's job is for how much they deal with people on the brink of death Enjoyable film overall
Pretty great "E3" season all things considered Overall I'd rank the presentations as 1. Xbox (did not expect this to end up my favorite but they cooked) 2. Nintendo 3. SGF 4. Playstation
Overall a pretty decent platformer The game wasn't really clicking for me in the beginning cause frankly I had a skill issue with the puzzle elements of this game But after getting guided thru the game I started the warm up to it and the bosses were the highlight
Kiwami 1 is good Overall like the new characters in kiwami 1 and the missing 10 billion yen and yumi mystery was intriguing tho isn't quite as compelling as the empty lot plot The combat is more challenging than 0 I'd say but also pretty annoying Still enjoyed my time with kiwami 1 overall
Never thought I'd be buying my first Bubsy game in big 2026 but I wanted to see this bobcat's redemption Poster unfortunately kinda scuffed and dissapointed there's no soundtrack but that wasn't likely gonna fit inside At least the game on a full cartridge which is the main reason I went for this
Borrowed this from the library and this is the first Mario Tennis game I have played but overall pretty underwhelmed tbh I know going in its a Tennis game but I didn't find Mario Tennis Fever all too compelling to play Doesn't help that couldn't play with friends either cause this game costs $70
Never expected to hear such jrpg ass music that wouldn't be out of place in a tales game in mario tennis fever lol
Ever since trying the demo, I was sold on buying Pragmata day 1 The idea of hacking and shooting sounds kinda lame in concept but is phenomenally executed in this 10 hour adventure The story isn't very deep and very predictable but it hits those emotional beats quite well, especially in the ending
Glad to have finally caught up getting every Ys physical available on current platforms
Saw the Michael Jackson film yesterday and it was incredible There is a surreal feeling seeing a recreation of a real person's life potrayed years after his passing and gotta commend Jaafar Jackson for his incredible performance Phenomenal film for a longstanding unforgottable legend
Love simple affordable collector's editions like this that can pre order in retail Anyways will be hopping back into ys soon again once I finished pragmata
It's likely scalpers stealing the stock when it comes back but yeah valve can't supply much steam decks anymore cause of the shortages going on
One of the things I sorta miss about cartridges was how save data was stored on the cartridge I'm never gonna 100% Sonic Advance 2 myself to unlock Amy but by sheer luck I bought a copy of Advance 2 awhile ago where someone did that tedium to unlock Amy so I can play their completed save file lol
