I would think the hawk cling would do the trick. I had a robin do that last year for days. I finally propped a couple of my grandson's stuffies in the window and he stopped. I guess they see their reflection and think it's another bird.

I love watching both intra- and inter-species interactions on my feeder. I get junco and goldfinch too, but the junco won't come up to the feeder to get their picture taken, they hang around underneath. Here's a grab from this morning, they all happened to look up at the same time.
