New Beastmen available now from my HarrowHyrst range sold by Footsore MIniatures! footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/...
Here’s a cheeky (literally) little sneak peak at some of the sculpts for my next set of Beastmen… Can you tell I’m having fun? I can see myself making quite a few sets of these if people like them 😃 #beastmen #fantasyminiatures
I’ve had way too much fun painting my first set of Beastmen, especially the Snail Man 😄 Here they are with a few shots of them enjoying the landscape of HarrowHyrst. Here’s a link to get them for yourselves footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/...
My first set of old school Beastmen is now available at a special pre-release from Footsore Miniatures. There will be more sets coming throw out the year, they’re great fun to make! Follow the link! footsoreminiatures.co.uk/products/bea...
Here’s my newest piece of needle felted terrain, around 30cm square! Lots of wool, lots of sharp needles going into fingers and a fair bit of unladylike language :-) I really love making these! #needlefelting
I painted up my latest sculpt from my HarrowHyrst range (available from Footsore miniatures and Games) it was a lot of fun! Really enjoying playing around with the colours :-)
Slough the Fen Wanderer is now available from Footsore Miniatures and Games. He wanders the fenland by the forest, avoiding contact with living things that pass through there, walking slowly through the mud and treefall, muttering incomprehensible magicks under his breath. Link in comments :-)
It’s been a particularly colourful year! I’ve enjoyed painting up my new sculpts and spent many happy hours creating little landscapes from wool 😃 We’ve travelled a lot in our van, exploring new areas of the UK and walking in the most beautiful, inspirational countryside. Here’s to more in 2026!
I’ve been doing some felting on my latest diorama this afternoon, my little forest is coming along nicely! Next job is finishing the roots properly and then some grass. HarrowHyrst’s landscape is growing! #harrowhyrst #needlefeltingartist #needlefelting
It’s been a pleasant rainy afternoon working out how to make trees for my next felted diorama look the way I want them to. Part realistic, part dark fairytale. Getting there, and lots more to do 😱 Excuses the slightly fuzzy photos, tired eyes and shaky hands 😂 #harrowhyrst #needlefeltingartist
A gentle reminder, ye who would venture into HarrowHyrst! My sale is ending this Sunday 30th so be sure to make your offerings to the dark creatures of the forest by then! Here’s the link footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/... #harrowhyrst #fantasyminiatures #salesalesale
I’ve finished painting my new Forest Dragon, Darach. Always a joy to get the colours out after working with grey putty for a while :-) You can pick him up here footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/...
My grandson tried his first watercolour painting with just a little help from me. He’s justifiably proud of it!
I have a new Forest Dragon in my HarrowHyrst range, available from Footsore Miniatures and Games. He’s ready to defend the mighty forests from their enemies! He was sculpted in BeesPutty polymer clay, next job is to paint him! footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/...
I’ve always been fascinated by old printers blocks and couldn’t resist buying these recently :-D Old letterpress blocks, lots of variety, particularly ones for Masonic Lodges! Now to clean them up, they’re pretty dirty!
I’ve finished another needle felted piece of terrain….all made from wool :-) It’s so satisfying!
Back from a trip to Wales, we watched Red Kites being fed at Bwylch Nant yr Arian visitor centre. Stunning birds!
I want to show a beautifully painted Dryad from one of the older ranges I did. This was painted by Craig O’Reilly and he very kindly sent it to me for my collection of painted figures. He’s happily sat in my studio now!
People have asked if I’d make wings for Quercus the Forest Wyrm, so I find myself in the middle of converting Quercus’s body and Snowk’s wings to make a new miniature. The painful bit of chopping and scalpel wielding is almost over and then I can get the sculpting underway :-D
I’ve got my latest Treeman sculpts painted up now, using a lot of speedpaints and contrast paints. Branchbane and Tangleroot will join their buddies in the forests of HarrowHyrst…loving populating my own world! footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/...
These guys are now available at the link. They’re called Branchbane and Tangleroot and don’t like their forest being messed with! footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/...
I found the teeniest, tiniest snail shell the other day, in the same spot where i’ve had a couple of gifts from the crow pair who nest in a tree behind our garden. Maybe it was them, maybe not….it’s still really cute, about 3mm in diameter.
Two new Treemen I’ve just finished, off to be moulded! They’re both around 70mm tall to the top of their heads and sculpted with my favourite BeesPutty polymer clay.
