I don't know anymore, man. I genuinely do not know how to argue empathy at somebody.i don't want concert goers and school children to be routinely slaughtered in a hailstorm of bullets. You don't care. I don't want some kids' first memory to be that of a jack booteddeportation force kicking down their door and ripping their father away from them. You don't care. I don't want a mother to bury her child solely because she couldn't swing $600 for a two-pack of epi-pens. You don't care. Every day, you wake up and deflect, what-about, twist, bend, contort, and echo whatever vile, club-footed rationalization that keeps you from having to admit that you're not just complicit in, but actively facilitating, this nightmare of a reality so many people are experiencing. I care about other people. You do not. Take your thoughts and prayers, and shove them up your ass.

After about an hour, I removed the tape and began scraping and trimming the binding, taking care to leave the nubs at the end of the frets. Had a couple little patches to make, using shavings and acetone to make a putty. So far, the result looks good.

Replacing the binding on the fingerboard. Split a piece of binding, taped it down, and wicked acetone into the joint to glue it. The insulin syringe is the best tool I have found for this operation.

More work on the mandolin. Cut a piece of binding to replace a missing piece, used acetone and a small syringe to glue it in place and then taped it down.
