I'm sorry you can't read and comprehend the second sentence even when I point out the negation. It's literally two damn sentences, and you can't understand the concept of Maine voters should not be forced to choose between Platner and Collins. Maybe I can dumb it down for you

El-Sayed's post's second sentence is "Voters in main deserve a choice for US Senate that doesn't force them to choose between sexual violence [Platner] or corporate servitude [Collins].

This is equivalent to saying Maine Voters should have a choice that isn't between Platner and Collins.

This is an interesting paper comparing zoning laws in the US compared to Germany. In Germany even "exclusively residential" zones are actually mixed-use zones. My understanding is other European countries differ, but they all still use zoning. It's just that our zoning system in the US is terrible

The BauNVO lists four land-use classes: re-
sidential, mixed, commercial and special.6
These are divided in ten subclasses: small-
scale residential, exclusively residential, ge-
neral residential, special residential, village-
type, mixed-use, town-center, commercial,
industrial and special districts.7 But consider
the uses each of them allows. From a U.S.
standpoint, almost all qualify as mixed-use.
»Small-scale residential« areas may allow
the following uses by right: single- and two-
family homes, farms, small shops,8 restau-
rants, crafts, and non-disturbing industry.
The »exclusively residential« areas, despi-
te their name, permit by right all dwellings
(without distinguishing between single- and
multi-family) but also list small shops, crafts,
hotels and civic buildings as special uses. The
»general residential« areas allow by right all
dwellings,9 small shops, restaurants and ci-
vic buildings; they may permit as special uses
hotels, gas stations and non-disturbing indus-
try. Regarding what constitutes »non-distur-
bing industry,« another statute applies— the
German Industrial Norms (Deutsche Industri-
enorm or DIN 18005). This statute sets stan-
dards for industrial emissions and noise for
each of the BauNVO residential classes.

This is really unserious. I'm sorry, they think we're going to be able to 30L/s of aluminum nanoparticles indefinitely. The first paper has this taking 10 years, until 2026. So, they are saying we can start today? (Btw, this requires 0.1% of Earth's total metal processing production)
