It's natural. I am an Earthling and so are you. Figure out who you are and be that. Don't waste a minute living someone else's life. Question Authority Fascists kill hope for the future. Stop electing conmen.
Sammy was enjoying himself on the back of my truck until I brought out the camera. He hates all the publicity from the internet.
I've always been lucky but luck is a double edged sword. Happy 7/11 to all who celebrate.
That Indian dude built the Taj Mahal for the one he loved, & I built mine a garage. I wanted to protect her from hailstorms & keep her warm & dry. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. The cement dude got rich. The metal building has quality materials & the crew was conscientious. I'm happy
UPDATE: Garage Mahal The crew arrived late in the evening yesterday & began work early this morning. The 3 man crew worked like ants and before noon had already made the progress seen in the pics. Everything was coming together good until one had a medical emergency and had to be rushed to hospital
This guy was trying to get into the outdoor cat feeding station so I walked outside and suggested he leave. He was not amused. Glad he didn't come by last night when I was out there in the hammock after dark. Got to get that dog that barks over here and bites over there. Risky living in the woods.
Eating Gluten Free isn't easy if you want to eat something like pizza. I think the cauliflower crust is terrible. I like to eat cold pizza the next day also and it's terrible. Sweet Loren's makes some good roll up thin crusts and pastries. Look for them at Kroger near the cheeses.
I miss her a lot. She was my girl for 8-9 years & we had a lot of fun. Her name was Pokie Jane & she was 49 when she succumbed to cancer. She was a Double Yellow Amazon and she had a huge vocabulary. She would make me laugh and then start laughing at me. I had to crawl out of the room once laughing.
My neighbor sent me this clip of his cat being tricked into climbing up a tree by a nefarious squirrel. I suspect Lucky did the same thing.
For at least a week I've been thinking about making these snack things. One third is breakfast with ham and cheese and eggs and potatoes and one third is brunch with more meats and cheeses and one third is pizza with pepperoni and ham and bacon with several cheeses and tomato sauce. Soft taco shells
My project has been on hold and under about a foot of ice and snow for about a month. May be able to resume soon although another cold forecast is in the near future. Once the pad is finished the building can be scheduled. No doubt it will be during the annual high wind period of about two months.
Update on my garage project. I'm ahead of my original schedule even though the extremely cold weather made it impossible to pour cement, it's ready to be poured in a week or two. I'll have a better idea how the project will work out when the pad is completed. I can't schedule the building until then
Sometimes I just want to remind myself of the exciting things I did in my careers. I was an arial inspector in a helicopter patrolling pipelines in 11 states. The rock formation is Seneca Rocks & the pilot shot the gap with people climbing on it. Flying back then was fun until the fog rolled in.
Behold these delicious gluten free chili cheese hotdogs. These babies would cost you twenty dollars each if you can find them on the streets. Seriously, nobody sells gluten free fast food in America. I understand Canadians have much better gluten free options as does the rest of the world. US sucks.
It's been snowing non stop here for days. There's probably been about a foot of accumulation. Normally it's no big deal but extremely cold weather is on the way very soon and this snow won't thaw until next year. I have 2 ways off the mountain and both are like bobsled tracks under these conditions.
You can consider this post a Christmas card since I lost all your addresses. Just a simple Happy Holidays from me and Lucky. Clearly all of you other cat owners sent yours to finishing schools where they learned how to pose for a camera. Well, me and Lucky are raw and unvarnished. No pretenses here.
He looks innocent when he's asleep but don't let him fool you. Two nights in a row he has come in and jumped up on my lap purring like a lawnmower and dripping wet. He knows how to get to me. The more I laughed the louder he purred.
I've been wondering how I was going to get a picture of my buddy Opossum Paul since he only comes around at night and there he is out on a limb for some reason. I saw him earlier in the cat bed on the porch but it was too dark and he ran away.
If you zoom in you can catch Lucky the Tux on the job. He sits down there almost every day often for hours. I've walked around trying to figure out what he's so enthralled with but so far I have no idea. He's a hardcore mouser so he might have found the motherload down there.
Lucky is laying down on the job again. He rarely moves from that spot when I have a fire going.
I picked up this ball in the markdown section and I made sure it was gluten free and that I wasn't too old or manly to drink it. I figured when I was done drinking it I might have to find another use for it around here with a few alterations of course. Enjoy the weekend people. I insist on it.
I forgot to add the sign. I don't know what's going on around here but I am going to town today. It would take hours to get to my hometown where the biggest event will be and I'd rather add to a small crowd unless we get jumped for not being Nazis. Good luck everyone.
Yesterday I looked out the back window and saw this guy looking around the yard. I've seen two others over the years here and signs of egg laying so hopefully there's a sustainable population. They do look different so maybe I'd better learn more about them. They are different sizes and colors.
This turned out pretty good. Sometimes I'll do more than one thing in case one goes bad so I went ahead and roasted some chicken to make a second one.
If my cats ever kill me it'll be over something I said. I know they can understand every word so I'm always asking the orange one if he got something to eat and every time the tux shows up after missing a while I tell him I assumed he was stuck up a tree. My days are numbered, they've had it with me
This is what ushered in the Industrial Revolution and tamed the wilderness. The pursuit of salt brine in south western Virginia in the early 1800's led directly to oil and gas wells and helped stop the slaughter of whales for their oil. The brine was valuable but the oil was a nuisance until markets
I got some new glasses a couple of weeks ago. I'd been wanting some round glasses for a while & finally got them. They have green lenses which should help with glare. People hate you for wearing glasses indoors but I do it anyway. My eyes are light sensitive from cataracts so I have to protect them.
There's a Civil War era log church close to my place. I've been cutting the grass & mulching their leaves since I bought my cabin. Once a year they have a function and I provide the electricity. They wanted to pay me but I do it for my late mom. I hope they aren't worshipping the orange bastard now.
I think my tux Lucky is growing up. Lately he's been coming in earlier at night and he's been hanging around with me instead of his cat buddy. Yesterday he kept coming back to say hi. Maybe the last time he spent a week stuck 50-60' in a tree he learned something.
