my brother got me this book (highly recommend it, it's the best spider book i've found so far) and i made it into a checklist by putting tabs on all of the spiders i find and can identify! i have around 15 marked 🕷️

i'm not exactly sure! he has the same body type and black body/brown legs of these two that are in my area, but not the lighter markings. somewhere in the gnaphosidae family!

A large wolf spider with a dark brown body, a rich brown abdomen, and a light cream stripe going down the center of the cephalothorax. This was the day I got him!

The same wolf spider, now having molted. You can see his old exoskeleton underneath him. This was also the day I got him! His cephalothorax and legs are mostly a greyish white, except for a touch of orange on his stripe. His abdomen is a soft greyish brown.
