My not-close-at-all encounter with Mo'ne Davis when she was interning with the DC Grays in the Cal Ripken wood bat league when they played the SS-Takoma Thunderbolts. We try to hit a couple games every season. This was 2021, and this picture is terrible (sorry).
This one is still my favorite. I think the Cyclones do better 'heads than the Yankees.

A night at the opera- almost. West Side Story from the Washington Opera at Strathmore. Lovely production. I was surprised that I've practically memorized the entire show. I couldn't possibly have seen it more than eleventy billion times...

I bought these after I broke my foot. They're sturdy, and comfy. I put purple sparkly laces in them, and the best thing is you don't have to tie them after the first time - just use the zipper! They seem to be available other places if you don't want to use amazon.
Went to the Amy Sherald exhibit yesterday. Simply stunning!! And I'm s bit embarrassed to say I had no idea there was such a stellar museum right here in my backyard. We'll be back!! These were my faves
Yesterday, I found out the a/c in my car doesn't work and I was sad (and hot). Today, I don't care.
Homefront. It had everything - drama, big band music, and Kyle Chandler! Alas, it's streaming nowhere, probably because of the big band music.
Once more, with feeling... This is our 4th Mary and I'm looking forward to him. Also looking forward to Simu Liu as Mary's teacher.
Tonight was Bigfoot. Book by Amber Ruffin. She is a very funny person. And also very insightful. A fun show with a point of view. And a fantastic cast!
This was a delight!! The entire cast is lovely. And the updates to the book work really well. The Kennedy Center bit was hilarious.

Today's Off-Broadway extravaganza was Anna Christie starring Michelle Williams. I saw the play a long time ago with Liv Ullman and really don't remember too much about it. My question coming out of the theatre today was why is anyone doing this play in 2026 other than as some kind of vanity project.
Tonight we saw Buena Vista Social Club (not Anna Christie - that's actually tomorrow). It was so much fun. And very touching. I highly recommend it!!
